What we Believe

"Biblical orthodoxy without compassion is surely the ugliest thing in the world."  (Francis Shaeffer).  We strive to be a church that is serious about doctrine and equally diligent about devotion to the biblical applications and practical implications of our stated beliefs.

We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, the deity of Jesus Christ, that the atonement for our sins required the shedding of Christ's blood. We believe in a literal bodily resurrection of Jesus, that salvation is by the grace of God through faith alone. We also believe that Christ will return and that his return is imminent. Confession of Faith

THE GOSPEL

The Gospel is the story of God's redemption of his fallen creation. It is the good news that God has acted in history to conquer evil and reconcile sinners to himself through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. This message not only brings one to salvation, but it is also the fuel by which the Christian life is to be lived.

The Gospel story can be told in these 4 chapters:

GOD

He is the Creator and has ownership rights over all creation. He is the Loving King who rules over all He has made with kindness and wisdom.

MAN

The Bible says that every man and woman has rejected God's loving rule, and is separated from God by sin. The message of the gospel tells me that I am much worse than I thought.

CHRIST

However, the Bible also tells that God loves us more than we could have ever hoped. While we were still sinners, God sent His only Son to come, live perfectly, die for our sin and rise again in order to restore us to God.

RESPONSE

Knowing all of this is not good enough. The Bible says you must believe it and turn to Christ in repentance and faith.

ASSURANCE OF HEAVEN

The Bible says you can know today where you will spend eternity.
